Make your own mascot

For: Explaindio 5 Pro (up to 5 mascots) and Pro Lite (1 mascot)

A mascot is your own animated character. It talks and moves in any character scene.

  1. In the Animation Studio, click Mascots.
  2. Under Build a mascot, pick the Skin, Hair, Facial hair, Glasses, Face and Outfit.
  3. Give it a Name, then click Build my mascot. It usually takes about 30 seconds.
  4. When it's ready, the card shows How it looks in each move: Talk, Walk, Stand, Point, Arms crossed and Dance.

What stays the same: your mascot wears its outfit when it talks. In other moves, like walking or pointing, it wears that move's own clothes. Its hair, face, glasses and skin always stay the same.

Use it in a scene:

  1. In a scene, click + Add and pick Character.
  2. Under Your mascots, pick yours.
  3. Pick an Action, like Talk or Point.

To make it talk, type a line in the Voice box above the canvas. The mouth follows the words when the scene renders.

If it doesn't work: "You've used all … mascot slots" means you've reached your plan's number. Delete a mascot on its card, then build another.
