Find more businesses with your map key

Explaindio searches free sources first. Your own Google map key lets you search more. Google bills you directly, and Explaindio adds no charge.

1. In Google Cloud, create a project and turn on Billing.
2. Enable Places API (New).
3. Create an API key, and restrict it to Places API (New).
4. Set a monthly budget in Billing → Budgets & alerts.
5. On Sending settings, paste the key into Paste your API key, and click Save and test.
6. Back on a search, click Find more businesses.

If it doesn't work: If you see "places service isn't turned on", do step 2. If you see "billing isn't set up", do step 1. The full steps are under How to get your key.
